BIOGRAPHY
Domagoj Ćorić was born on 31 January 1997 in Osijek, the city where he began building his first professional foundations.
After graduating from the School of Economics and Administration in Osijek, he further pursued his specific academic interests in the fields of foreign and security policy.
He graduated in Zagreb on thesis of "Nuclear relations of the United States of America and the Soviet Union", with the highest grade & holds a degree in International Relations & Diplomacy.
The combination of analytical foundations and diplomatic education shaped his approach to political engagement.
Recognizing the importance of lifelong learning, he continuously invests in his development through various programs.
He holds numerous certificates in the fields of strategic planning, project management and negotiation.
He further completed his political and doctrinal education at the Political Academy of the Croatian Statehood Foundation.
He has been politically active since the age of 19,
Establishted as one of the most prominent young leaders of the new generation within the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
Over multiple terms, he has served as President of HDZ Youth in Osijek-Baranja County.
At the national level, he was entrusted with the important role of Deputy National President of HDZ Youth, the largest and most influential political youth organization in the Republic of Croatia.
He has also served multiple terms as a member of the Presidency of HDZ Osijek-Baranja County, participating in the work of the county leadership, strategic decision-making processes, strengthening of the organization, and implementation of party policies and initiatives.
His work and public recognition were confirmed through his direct election to the HDZ National Committee at the XIX. and XXI. General Assemblies of the party, becoming the youngest elected member of the party's highest governing body.
He regularly represents the interests of Croatia and the HDZ at the highest-level international political gatherings.
He actively participates in the work of the European People's Party and the political structures of the Youth of the EPP.
His foreign policy engagement includes participation in numerous international panels, expert conferences, and forums focused on security, development, and cooperation in key international centers and diplomatic venues.
From 2022. to 2025. he was unanimously elected President of the Youth Council of Osijek-Baranja County.
Leading this body served as a platform for implementing new public policies, as well as a foundation for broader engagement.
Recognized for his analytical approach and strategic perspective, he continued representing the interests and perspectives of young people at the highest national level as a member of the Youth Council of the Republic of Croatia.
Within this advisory body of the Croatian Government, he directly participated in the creation, coordination, and alignment of national strategies, as well as in the development of new legislative frameworks.
His contribution to interregional cooperation and strengthening the capacities of regional self-government was further demonstrated through his appointment as Head of the Youth Working Group of the Croatian County Association.
From this coordinating position, he actively connects local self-government units, encourages knowledge exchange, and promotes the implementation of best practices.
The focus of this engagement includes introducing leading European practices and Western standards into the work of county-level platforms throughout Croatia, contributing to the creation of a coherent and resilient system.
In the 2025 elections, he was elected as the youngest member of the Osijek-Baranja County Assembly.
